FFK Internship Review - Shiyi

Coming into this internship, not knowing well about the different aspects of video production, I have learnt so much more in these few weeks than what I expected. Seeing the process of producing a video and experiencing how technical terms learnt are being applied first-hand, all these felt surreal yet familiar. Beneath the theoretical aspects, I was given hands-on experience and opportunities to attend weddings with Team FFK. Handling the tripod or being on the second cam during weddings, it provided me with priceless experience on what it is like to be a wedding videographer. Beside weddings, different opportunities were also given to me to apply the skills i have learnt, especially on the understanding of sense of place which is crucial in the initial stage of learning videography. Given these opportunities, I realized that video content can be found anywhere as long as we stay interested, be it in the studio or even in gym, where we were given a chance to shoot. During these few weeks, Kenneth patiently guided us and gave us invaluable tips that goes beyond the workplace, like basic courtesy or working attitude and behavior we should always carry with us. Even though mistakes were made during this internship, these mistakes helped to mould me into a better person, in terms of not only work growth, but also personal growth. The learning curve may be steep, but I believe the skills I have learnt will stay with me. - Shiyi Team FreshfromKenneth
