1. 2017 Top 10 Coffee | #toptenofFFKstopten

There's a few criteria whenever
I visit a coffee house and see
if it deem fit my commitment,
my mornings, my 4x shots of
expresso to start my day.

1. The smile on the barista.
2. Remembering the order on following visit.
3. 'Thank you! See you again!'
4. The after taste.
5. Ask if you wanna try something new.

The only reason I would go there if I'm only nearby -__- what a reason right. But hey, this is the 10th. Bear with me ya.

9. Crown Coffee -
Right beneath my office and used to be a very committed to this outlet before it started to expand and loses what I first tasted.
Losing the taste gives room for changes to ones's morning priorities. Secretly asking my guys to buy the coffee to taste if it got better. Harder to win me back though, maybe my taste got tougher with the shots I take.

7. The Glass House at Chijmes -
Because.. our weddings are usually at Chijmes?
Not really. This is when the preference of my coffee starts to kick in.
They serve good beans, sometimes from Jap, and really smooth for their filter coffee.
Average expresso shots, but with the view at glass house (before they shifted next door), I could accept the bright ambience coffee experience. After the shifted, the place felt a little moody though.

The Glasshouse: 30 Victoria Street #01-K11 CHIJMES Singapore 187996
Opening hours: Mon to Fri: 8am – 5pm, Sat & Sun: 9am – 6pm

6. Botanist -
Love to recommend my couples to this place for shoot + breakfast. Always joke with them that this is how we trick our couples to buy us breakfast, bring them to a cafe! Though they are situated at neil road, their back door leads to keong siak and the variation that this place brings helps to create more content for both pre wedding and actual day wedding sessions.
These guys are from pacamara, notable for their coffees. The only thing they should improve on is to believe me when I say 4 shots of expresso. Maybe its just a singaporean thing.
'4 shots? you mean 4 shots of expresso? in one cup?'

Botanist: 74 Neil Road, 088839,
Opening hours: Tues to Sun: 9am to 1030pm, Closed on Monday

5. Jewel Cafe and bar -
Fell in love with this when I first visited Floral Magic at Rangoon. The coffee left a strong memory within me. Go-to coffee on UberEats. Very handicap to explain in 10 different ways of how a coffee taste.
By now you should realised that, I am a very experiential coffee guy eh. One bad coffee, one bad experience,
No returns.

Jewel Cafe and bar: 129 Rangoon Rd, Singapore 218407
Opening hours: Daily: 9am to 10pm

4. Chye Seng Huat Hardware -
9am daily visit. They understood my 4 shots over ice.
Love to visit they toilet in the morning. This religious act took place a year ish ago.
Interviews, meetings, discussions. Love to do it there.
The tranquility source of this place is the morning sun at 10am to 11am. You can feel it but you are still in the shade with your coffee thinking about ideas and replying your messages.
And the toilet though. TBH, I don't use toilet paper. That said, yea. The toilet best.

Chye Seng Huat Hardware: 150 Tyrwhitt Road, 207563
Opening hours: Tues - Thurs and Sunday: 9am to 10pm, Fri & Sat: 9am to 12mid. Closed on Monday

3. Ronin -
The one reason that made it to my 3rd fav: 'Take away Wicked Mocha + Ice Cream'
There is none in this list that can do this fix. Its not on their list. But I made it happen for myself and anyone who I evangelist to. Well, its not near by my office, thats why it fell short to 3rd.
The few times I go there, will be the time I collect my gears at Camera Rental Centre at North Bridge Road or I get/fix me drone at Fok Hai Building.

Ronin: 17 Hongkong St, 059660
Opening hours: Mon to Tues: 8am to 4pm, Wed - Sat: 8am to 6pm, Closed on Sunday

2. VXX (Stopped operation) -
Yea. But I wish to make mentioned because Joy knows my order, asked if I want to try something new in my short visits when I found them this year. Main reason is because CSHH is closed on monday and that the next closest one. Used to go to bravery cafe, but the coffee is just too acidic for me. So sad for my monday's fix. Always bring a smile to my face on their after taste. Keep up to their update on their facebook page if you wish to know if they will be in operation again.
